I had been warned that local views of winter scenes wouldn't sell. I thought that I had obtained the most beautiful winter sunset photo of the Empire State Plaza from N.Y.S.O.G.S. and was convinced that it would sell.

The post card is on the left and the actual photo is on the right. If the actual photo is out of focus, it is only by a small amount. Meanwhile the post card - well, you can see the difference!

I tried to sell the cards as local view Christmas Post Cards, but that didn't work either. I still have plenty available.

The cards are 4" x 6". The publisher was PlastichromeŽ. The card is Distributed by Avis Post Card Co. (You may notice the crown on the top of the reverse; which meant that the card was on heavier stock paper.) The card number shown is X115959. On the lower left corner is a description of the photo and: photo courtesy N.Y.S.O.G.S. and my card/stock number of 530.

13,250 cards were delivered on Sept. 29, 1982.
