I designed four (4) post cards for Albany's Tricentennial (300 years) of its Charter as a city. Three cards I can show. The fourth card was copyrighted by Kodak, so I don't know if I can show it or not.

I decided to use HISTORIC ALBANY, NEW YORK as the theme for the three cards. Since I also collected old post cards of Albany, I thought I would choose old historic areas, and showed what they look like in 1986. Each of the three cards shows an old post card of the same location in the corner of the card.

I took this photo using a telephoto lens from an exit ramp of I-787 that runs along the Hudson River. The inset photo is from an old post card that shows the "Old Capitol" that was at the same spot from 1808 to 1879.

The cards are 4" x 6". The publisher was McGrew Color Graphics. The card number shown is 28417425. ©1986 by Avis Post Card Co., Photo by Dennis Mallory. My card/stock #537 is shown in the lower left corner.

6,700 cards were delivered on July 9, 1986.
