Probably this photo looks different to you. This wasn't a post card! It was a 20 view folder. I decided to illustrate the outside cover - which folded.

This type of folder was also known as an "accordion" folder. While all of the views in the folder were not post cards in my line, most were. The following of my cards were illustrated in the folder: #406, #410, #416, #524, #525, #526, #527, #529, #530, #531 and #603. Two Princlys cards were in the folder (Million Dollar Staircase - State Capitol Building & Legislative Office Building). I also had taken a photo of the Alfred E. Smith Building from the Empire State Plaza that was never a post card, but was in this folder.

The inside of the folder gives a few historical highlights on the city of Albany from 1609 to 1831. Below the history the following is stated:

"Photos used in this collection courtesy N.Y.S.O.G.S., Bob Glander and Dennis Mallory. Dist. by Avis Post Card Co., Box 5053, Albany, NY 12205-0053 PlastichromeŽ P91728"

The size of the folder (folded) is 4" x 6" or 4" x 28" open. The photos are printed on both sides.

In case you are curious about my use of the number 1004 for this item, Princlys had previously had three folders in stock (one each of Albany, Schenectady and Troy), which I was also trying to sell at the time.

3,000 folders were ordered in the spring of 1982. I do not know the exact amount delivered.
